Business Development Executive

The role of a Business Development Executive is to assist the organisation’s sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. She should be able to provide ideas to attract new clients and keep the senior management updated about marketplace and competitor activity.

The primary role and responsibilities of a Business Development Executive include:

  • Build contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of all product and service offerings of the company
  • Follow the company’s guidelines and procedures for the acquisition of customers
  • Research and identify new market opportunities
  • Maintain fruitful relationships with clients and address their needs effectively
  • Make outbound follow­up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up­sell
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers

Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ ENTC/Instrumentation/Mechanical or BBM/BBA/MBA in Sales and Marketing
  • Previous 2+years work experience as a Business Development Executive/Sales
  • Executive(B2B)/Telesales Executive
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in Lithium-ion Battery/Electric Vehicle/Solar/Robotics/Automation Industry
  • B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals
  • Must possess strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be detail-oriented and an active listener
  • A positive, confident and determined approach
  • A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Time management and planning skills
